Giving a Perfume Gift

There are a few things to consider if buying a friend or someone closer a perfume gift. Finding the right perfume gift is something you just have to do. You need to pick one that is just right for them, one that suits their personality and delivers the kind of impression they like to give. Too often perfumes are bought hastily and end up as ornaments on other people’s shelves. It’s much better to take the time for that someone special to get them just what they need.

Really Give a Perfume Gift

Remembering that there are people who are allergic to some of the chemicals in perfume, you need to consider quite carefully before buying. There are other gifts available that can stimulate the sense of smell. Perfumed sachets, lotions, room sprays and candles offer various scents without having to be worn on the person and will often be perfect, especially if you don’t have the time to prepare a perfume gift that is well suited to the other person. You could even consider something as mundane as deodorant, but that might give the wrong impression.

One of the keys to choosing the right scent is to make sure it works for the other person. You might have smelt it on someone else or enjoyed it yourself, but that doesn’t mean that it’s right for them too. That’s why you should really only give a perfume gift to someone who is really close to you. Think back on the kind of fragrances they have enjoyed in the past, if this doesn’t directly involve perfumes then think back on other things they have smelt and liked.

Various Perfume Gifts

There are an overwhelming number of perfumes on offer, and at first glance you might well be completely turned off and decide that another gift might be appropriate. True perfume is the most potent of all perfumes, and is the most expensive, it is also the exact smell that the creator intended for their perfume. If you have the budget then this might be just the right for that someone special. They usually come in a unique bottle which adds to the sense of exclusivity and luxury.

On a slightly more limited budget the other kinds of perfume will most likely suit your needs. Eau de Toilette is eight to fifteen percent essential oil and Eau de Cologne has about four percent essential oil. These are less pricey and come in bigger bottles.

If you are really unsure, another choice is a perfume gift set, which consists of a few small bottles of perfume, perfect for trying out a few fragrances and choosing the right one so you know just what to get the next time.
